GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team was selected ninth in the 2017 North Eastern Athletic Conference preseason poll released Friday afternoon.
The preseason poll rankings were conducted by the NEAC women's lacrosse coaches, with each coach ranking all teams but their own using a staggered points system (nine points for a first-place vote, eight points for second, etc.). The 2017 NEAC women's lacrosse season will begin 
Saturday, Mar. 4, with a full season schedule available on the NEAC website 
here. 
The 2016 NEAC Champion, SUNY Poly Wildcats, earned seven of ten first place votes, including the NEAC coach and player of the year.  Morrisville State finished in second with 75 points and obtained the three remaining first place votes.
Abington will look to improve off of least season's 3-12 record, with leading scorer
