David Castellanos is headed into his seventh as the women's soccer head coach at Penn State Abington.

Castellanos is the winningest head coach in program history, posting 61 victories while earning a NEAC conference championship in 2011 for the first time in program history.
Last season, Castellanos guided Abington to an 14-3-1 record and a NEAC mark of 10-1.  The Lady Lions advanced to the NEAC tournament for the third straight year, falling in penalty kicks in the semifinal round against SUNYIT.  Seven Abington players were named to the NEAC All-Conference Team.

Castellanos holds a 61-49-5 overall record at the helm of the Lady Lions. He has led the team to three NEAC championship tournament appearances as well as an ECAC appearance.  Throughout the course of his coaching career, Castellanos has produced a total of forty-one players that were recognized by the North Eastern Athletic Conference.  Out of those players that were named to the All-Conference team, three players in particular excelled to be named NEAC Rookie of the Year, NEAC Goalkeeper of the Year, and NEAC tournament Most Valuable Player.
 
Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Castellanos grew up in Philadelphia. In 1998, he graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. As a youth player, he was on the U.S. U17 & U20 National Team.

Castellanos began his collegiate career at Mercer County Community College in 1998, two years later, he transferred to the University of Connecticut. That season, the Huskies won the 2000 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship with Castellanos providing an assist in the title win over Creighton University. Castellanos graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology.

The bi-lingual Castellanos turned professional with C.D. Motagua in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras in 2002. He signed with the Colorado Rapids in 2004 and also played for the Minnesota Thunder and Virginia Beach Mariners of USL.

Castellanos moved indoors with the Philadelphia KiXX of the Major Indoor Soccer League in 2005. Castellanos played for the KiXX until the team ceased operations in 2010. During that time, the KiXX won the 2007 MISL championship.

Aside from coaching at Penn State Abington, Castellanos is also the head coach of the U12, U13, and U15 Continental FC Delco Academy and is also the head coach of the Reading United A.C. for the 2014 USL Premier Development League.
