ABINGTON, PA - Follwing its 10-1 regular season conference finish, the Penn State Abington women's soccer team makes its first trip to the semifinals of the North Eastern Athletic Conference championship tournament, facing off against Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Bible College.

Abington faces a Harrisburg team that earned its way to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory vs. SUNY-IT in the tournament quarterfinals on this past Tuesday. The teams clashed at Harrisburg on October 22 with Abington coming out on top, 2-0. Freshman MF Adriana Rodriguez (Oceanside CA / El Camino) scored her ninth and 10th goals of the season and freshman GK Gabrielle Benedict (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks West) recorded five saves. Riding an 11-game winning streak, the team needs to "defend well and finish our chances," according to fourth-year head coach David Castellanos. With a victory, the team will face the winner of the host Lancaster Bible College and Penn State Berks semifinal on Sunday 1 p.m.
