Box Score The Nittany Lions ran into a buzz saw Monday night as the Lycoming Warriors (11-0) took it to Penn State Abington
(3-7)106-73 in the opening game of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament in Williamsport, PA. Lycoming came into the game undefeated and sporting their best record in school history; Abington knew it had to bring its "A" game. Tonight was not that night.
Led by Kevin Anthony's 9 of 10 shooting from the field, Lycoming raced to a 20 point halftime lead and never let up on the gas, scoring an even 53 points in each half. Abington's reliable scorers,
Mike Colacci (SO., Middlesex, NJ) and
Mike Marvin (FR., Hatboro PA), were held in check all night, as Colacci had 13 and Marvin was held to 8 points.
Will Alton (SR, Pennington, NJ) had 11 points and
Josh Howard (SR, Bensalem, PA) had 10. The team shot 33% on the night.
The Lions will face Immaculata tomorrow afternoon. Game time is 2PM.
