Men’s Suffered Third Straight Loss

The Penn State Abington men's basketball picked up their third straight loss after a 91-78 decision to Gallaudet University on Saturday afternoon.
 
With the loss Abington falls 7-12 overall and 4-4 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while the Bisons' improved 9-9 overall and 7-3 in the conference.
 
Abington came out hot in the opening of the first half with an 8-1 lead as Max Alton hit a three-pointer at the 18:24 mark. The Bisons' took converted four straight rebounds for 11 points to tie the game at with less than 15 minutes to play.
 
After an aggressive back-and-fourth battle that resulted in seven lead changes, Gallaudet took control towards the end as Jocus Houston nailed a three-pointer to extend the 49-39 lead to 10 for the Bisons'.
 
Abington mustered four points to close out the first half to cut the deficit to six, trailing 51-45 as both teams headed into the locker room.
 
The second half did not help the Nittany Lions as Gallaudet starting on a 7-0 run and Abington never threaten to get back in the game after that.
 
The Alton brothers scored a combined 31 points, with Maxhitting 5-for-9 from the arc. Fellow teammate, Mike Colacci contributed 12 points as Mike Marvin recovered 13 defensive rebounds.
 
Abington will return to action tomorrow when it travels to face Penn State Harrisburg to finish up the weekend contests.
