Men’s Basketball Falls to Harrisburg on the Road

The Penn State Abington men's basketball team fell to Penn State Harrisburg, 95-82, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Abington to 7-13 and 4-5 in the Conference. Harrisburg is now 15-4 and remains undefeated with a 9-0 Conference record in the South Division.

The first half showed six lead changes as both teams battled to the buzzer. Mike Colacci nailed a thiree-pointer at the five minute mark to extend the lead 32-26 for Abington before Harrisburg found its second wind and retook the lead with 23 seconds remaining. Josh Howard mustered a three-pointer to tie the game at 39 apiece at the end of the first stanza.

The second half showed the same intensity on both ends of the court as Abe Graham posted a jumper at the 9:44 mark to give Abington the lead, only to see it vanquish as Harrisbug tied the game for the twelfth time before going on a 16-3 run to hold off Abington for their ninth straight conference win.

Howard led Abington with 15 points, finishing 5-for-9 from the charity stripe, as teammate Mike Marvin crashed the boards with 15 rebounds. Will Alton scored eight points and collected five steals.

Abington will return to action on Sunday, February 5th when the Nittany Lions welcome the Keuka College Storm to the Lion's Den at 1 p.m.
