With the final game of the season, the Penn State Abington women's basketball team dropped a 76-34 decision to the visiting Penn State Harrisburg this afternoon.
 
Penn State Abington was led by freshman Jessica Schmidt with eight points as freshman Gabrielle Benedict hauled down nine rebounds.
 
Abington completes the 2011-12 season with a record of 0-24, 0-18 in the NEAC, while Harrisburg improves to 18-6, 16-1 in the NEAC conference and will qualify for postseason play.
 
The first half's momentum was controlled by the Nittany Lions of Harrisburg, which led as many as 32 points and they never looked back in the second half.
