Men’s Basketball Drops Conference Game to Berks

The Penn State Abington men's basketball team fell to the host Penn State Berks by a score of 112-92 on Wednesday night. With the loss, Abington (8-14, 5-6 NEAC) drops to fourth place in the South Division of the NEAC behind Berks.

Josh Howard led the team in scoring with 19 points, three steals, and an assist. Teammate Will Alton posted 18 points, four assists, and three steals.

Berks (6-13, 6-5 NEAC), outshot Abington 62.2% from the field and went 5-for-9 from beyond the arc during the first half. Abington struggled from the get go and could not find the momentum to slow Berks down throughout the game as Berks led 58-30 at the half.

The second stanza played the same tune as Berks shot 60.0% (21-for-35) from the field to put the game out of reach early into the second half to garnish their sixth conference win of the year.

On Sunday, Abington will travel to Washington D.C. to faceoff with the Gallaudet Bisons in a 1 p.m. tilt.
