Women's Basketball Drops Season Opener at Immaculata

Immaculata, Pa. - The Penn State Abington women's basketball squad fell in their season-opening game earlier this afternoon against the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University. The Nittany Lions played a hard-fought game, but couldn't get anything to fall offensively, and ended up losing by a score of 75-15. Junior forward Jessica Schmidt led the Blue and White with six points and ten rebounds. Freshman guard Kayla Nolan chipped in another six points of her own in the losing effort. The Nittany Lions (0-1, 0-0 NEAC) will look to rebound when they hit the hardcourt for their next game on November 21st at Bryn Athyn. Gametime is set for 6 p.m.
