Box Score
CHESTER, Pa. - Despite both teams combining for 26 total shots, the Penn State Abington men's soccer team played the Pride of Widener University to a 0-0 double overtime draw Friday evening in the 2014 season opener.

The Blue and White posted six shots in the first half while Widener fired a total of five in the first 45 minutes of play. The second half was a much different story as Abington registered eight shots while the Pride managed just three.

In the first overtime, neither team recorded a shot on goal but it was Abington in the second overtime that registered three shots compared to Widener's one.

Senior forward Alex Martins (Philadelphia, Pa) led all players with three shots on net including one that was stopped by Widener's goalkeeper Dave Sousa in the 103rd minute.

For the Nittany Lions, freshman goalkeeper Kole Dehaven (Ephrata, Pa.), made two saves through 110 minutes of play. Sousa stopped all nine shots on net that he faced for the Pride.

Abington will be right back on the field tomorrow as they travel to Swarthmore, Pa. to take on Swarthmore College. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. You can follow live game stats and video of the game right here on www.abingtonsports.com.
