Women’s Basketball Rebounds Against Bryn Athyn

Box Score After suffering their first conference loss of the season earlier in the week against Gallaudet, the Abington women's basketball team pulled out a win, topping the Bryn Athyn Lions 78-66.

The Lady Lions sweep the series and improve to 11-2 on the season, still chasing the top of the NEAC standings at 9-1 in conference. Bryn Athyn falls to 5-11 and 3-6 in the NEAC.

Abington leads the Lions in every category, shooting 39% from the floor and 39% from behind the arch, while scooping up 48 rebounds.
Bryn Athyn hit 35% of their shots while only knocking down 24% of their three-point shots.

Junior guard, Janaiah Elum, lead Abington with 26 points, hitting 3-of-5 from behind the arch and obtaining six rebounds on the afternoon.

A strong first half proved too much for the Bryn Athyn Lions, as Abington finished the half on an 18-10 run and went into the break ahead 48-30. With a comfortable lead, the Lady Lions held on for their ninth conference win of the season.

Abington will return home tomorrow for their match against the College of St. Elizabeth that had been postponed due to weather concerns.
