ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team outshot Cazenovia 17-6 but couldn't convert a goal, as they lost a heartbreaker to the wildcats 1-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions drop to 6-5 for the year and 4-3 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, while Cazenovia improves to 5-6 and 4-3 in conference.
In the first half the best chance came for the Nittany Lions when
Chris Van Pelt (Doylestown, Pa.) took a long shot that curled to the corner and went off the crossbar.
The Wildcats broke the deadlock in the 89
th minute when Ryan Mollura slotted his shot past the keeper.
The Nittany Lions will look to rebound tomorrow when they host NEAC leader Morrisville St. at noon.
