ABINGTON, Pa – A hat-trick from sophomore forward
Emily Kennedy (Montgomeryville, Pa.) powered the Penn State Abington women's soccer team past Morrisville State 7-0, Sunday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions improve to 8-4 and sit in third place in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a 6-1 record. The Mustangs drop to 3-8 and 2-5 in the conference.
Kennedy records her first hat-trick of the year and moves into third place in the NEAC with 11 season goals. Her outstanding season moves her into fifth place in single season goals, six shy of
Kayla Nolan's 2014 record.
Senior
Mallory Mugnier (Glenside, Pa.) added two goals and two assists on the afternoon which gives her five goals for the season. Mugnier moves into second place in career goals with 23, tied with Nolan.
Greta Sheridan (Horsham, Pa.) and
Victoria Parker (Philadelphia, Pa.) both recorded their first goals of the season.
The Nittany Lions will continue their season when they travel to Lancaster Bible on October 15, at 4:00 p.m.
