ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team snapped a four game losing streak as they defeated the University of Valley Forge 3-0, Wednesday night, in their final home match of the season.
Abington defeated Valley Forge 25-15 in the first set and battled back in the second set to win 26-24. The Nittany Lions finished off the Patriots in the third set with a 25-14 win.
The Nittany Lions improve to 7-15 for the season while the Patriots drop to 4-12.
Sophomore
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) racked up 22 digs on the evening along with her 13 kills. Sophomore
Danielle Dyjak (Abington, Pa.) and freshman
Jessica Laychock (Philadelphia, Pa.) both led the Nittany Lions in assists with 15 a piece.
Abington returns to the court when they travel Albright College on Monday October 19.
