Washington, D.C.- Michalea Drogalis capped off softball's excellent weekend by pitching a perfect game Sunday afternoon, as Abington defeated Gallaudet 16-0.

First, the Nittany Lions had to conclude game two from yesterday which was pushed back due to inclement weather.

Abington jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning, but the Bison would respond with four runs of their own in the top of the second inning cutting Abington's lead to 8-4.

The Blue and White would tack on another three runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning to lead 11-4. Runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings would extend the Abington lead to 14-4.Â

Greta Sheridan (Horsham, Pa.) was 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI's including a triple and a double. Michalea Drogalis (Croydon, Pa.) got the win scattering just three hits in five innings of work.

In game two, the Bison bats woke up as they scored 13 runs on nine hits to defeat Abington 13-5.
Breanna Lineman (Philadelphia, Pa.) had a good day at the plate going 1-for-2 with two RBI's.

Jennifer Rakita (Langhorne, Pa.) got the loss for Abington as she went 4.1 innings giving up nine hits and 13 runs total. Seven of those runs were earned. Â

Abington's bats would explode offensively in the third and final game scoring 16 runs on 13 hits. Michalea Drogalis got the win giving up zero hits in five innings of work while retiring all 15 batters she saw.

The Blue and White scored five and eight runs in the second and fourth innings respectively to put the game out of reach.

Whitney DeLagol (Warminster, Pa.) was 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBI's and a homerun.
Greta Sheridan and
Breanna Lineman both had strong performances. Sheridan was 2-for-4 with three RBI's and a homerun while Lineman went 3-for-4 with two RBI's and a homerun. Â

Abington (5-2-1, 3-1 NEAC) will return to action this Friday, April 3
rd as the Nittany Lions will travel to Lancaster Bible to play the Chargers. Games are slated for 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
