WASHINGTON – Sophomores Elizabeth Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Emily Kennedy (Montgomeryville, Pa.) both scored two goals as the Penn State Abington women's soccer team shut out Gallaudet 5-0 Saturday night.
 
The Nittany Lions improve to 3-2 for the year and get their first win in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, while Gallaudet falls to 2-7 and 1-2 in conference.
 
Kennedy contributed two goals and two assists on the evening while Mallory Mugnier (Glenside, Pa.) chipped in a goal for her second of the season.
 
In the 15^th minute Kennedy sent a pass from the right wing into Jones for the first goal. Right before half in the 43^rd minute, Jones doubled the lead with her second goal, again assisted by Kennedy.  In the second half Mugnier scored her goal in the 68^th minute of the match.  Two goals from Kennedy only a minute apart (72^nd, 73^rd minute) put the game out of reach for the Bison.
 
The Nittany Lions continue their road trip when they travel to Wilson College tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
