Women's Volleyball Drops Two in NEAC Pool Play

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – In the North Eastern Athletic Conference pool play the Penn State Abington women's volleyball team dropped both matches Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions were topped by Bryn Athyn 3-1 and blanked by Gallaudet 3-0.
 
Abington falls to 5-10 for the year and still winless in the conference (0-6).
 
Freshman Maddi Richards (Warminster) led the blue and white with 11 service aces and 18 digs.  Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the attack with 13 kills and 21 digs.
 
In the first match the Nittany Lions dominated taking the first set 25-12, but Bryn Athyn would take the next three winning 23-25, 15-25, and 17-25.  In the next match Gallaudet would sweep, winning all three sets 9-25, 11-25 and 16-25.
 
The Nittany Lions will look to snap their losing streak when they host Lancaster Bible on Friday October 2, at 7:00 p.m.
