MORRISVILLE, NJ – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team ended its season on a high note with a 12-3 victory over the College of Saint Elizabeth on Friday evening.
The Nittany Lions finish the season with a 3-12 record overall and a 2-7 mark in the conference.
Sophomore
Michaela Mast (Pottstown, Pa.) set the tone early with a goal in the first forty seconds of the game. Abington went on to score another five goals to take a 6-0 lead with 11 minutes on the clock. The Eagles netted a shot for their first goal of the game, but
Kathryn Kelly (Springfield, Pa.) finished the half with her second goal of the game, which gave the Nittany Lions a 7-1 lead going into the break.
Senior
Mallory Mugnier (Glenside, Pa.) kicked off the scoring in the second half with her ninth goal of the season. Mast etched her name into the history books as she scored her 32
nd goal of the year to move into ninth place in single season goals. Â The Nittany Lions chipped in two more goals before the Eagles could respond.
Chasidy McLaurin (Philadelphia, Pa.) punctuated the game with a goal in the final minute.
