LANCASTER, Pa. – For the first time in program history the Penn State Abington men's soccer team finished their conference slate undefeated with a 2-1 win over Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon. With the win the Nittany Lions earn their second regular season championship, and first since 2012 with a 12-6 overall record and a perfect 10-0 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Thomas Vessels (Jenkintown, Pa.) spoiled the party for the Chargers with his first goal of the season when he chipped his shot over the goalkeeper in the 14
th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Abington kept the Chargers off the board until late in the second half when Joel Hughes scored his first goal of the season with less than two minutes to go in the game to force overtime.Â
In the 97
th minute of the game Vessels bagged the brace with the game winning goal to keep the Nittany Lions perfect for the season.
Abington will host the first round of the NEAC playoffs when Wilson comes to town on Halloween afternoon, with kickoff starting at 2:00 p.m.
