FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Penn State Abington baseball team wrapped up its road trip facing off against Rutgers-Newark, but a huge first Inning for the Scarlet Raiders downed the Nittany Lions 18-4 on Sunday morning.
Abington falls to 0-3 for the season.

Matt Meyers (Cheltenham, Pa.) notched three hits and scored two runs to lead the Nittany Lions.
After an eight run first inning for Rutgers-Newark, Abington answered with two runs off an RBI single from
Trey Guaglionona (Abington, Pa.) and added another two in the third inning.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action when they travel to Stockton University on February 25, for a doubleheader starting at noon.
