Nittany Lions Draw with Fighting Tigers, 2-2

COBLESKILL, NY – In their final road trip of the season the Penn State Abington men's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions move to 11-4-1 for the season, and 9-0-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

The Nittany Lions attack had 26 shots, but could only place eight on target, while Cobleskill forced freshman goal keeper Esteban Leon (Miami, FL) to make seven saves.

It didn't take long for the hosts to get onto the board when Khadim Diba took advantage of a loose ball in the box and put the Fighting Tigers ahead 1-0. Dmitri Bourlako (Huntingdon Valley, PA) continued his fine form and tied the match with his fourth goal of the season in the 38th minute.

In the second half Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin, PA) put the Nittany Lions ahead with a sweet chip shot over the goalkeeper in the 60th minute. The lead lasted all of five minutes when Diba netted his second of the match with a 2-2 score line.

The Nittany Lions pressed the Fighting Tigers in overtime, but couldn't break the deadlock for their first tie of the season.

Abington will return home when they host Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
