GALLOWAY, N.J.- The Penn State Abington women's basketball team traveled to Stockton University for the Osprey's annual Tip-Off Tournament. The Nittany Lions earned their first loss of the season after being defeated by the Catholic University of America 67-49.
After the first quarter, Abington kept the lead within a 3 point distance, only trailing Catholic 14-11. However, the Nittany Lions allowed the Cardinals to 19 second chance points, and turned the ball over a total of 22 times.
Junior point guard Sydney Barrow (Philadelphia, PA) scored her season high of 19 points during her second outing in a Nittany Lion uniform. Scoring closely behind her was teammate Laquana Nagbe (Philadelphia, PA)with an 18 point performance, and draining 2 out of 3 from behind the arch.
Abington will look to bounce back tomorrow before their second game at the Stockton Tip- Off Tournament when they face Lehman College at 1:00pm.
