ROSEMONT, PA – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team rebounded with a 3-0 shutout against Rosemont College on Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions improve to 3-11 after the win.
Abington had their best match of the year, only committing 13 attack errors and earned 32 kills for the night.Â
Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) led the way in kills with 11 and
Elizabeth Erhart (Ciudad de Panama, Panama) and
Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) dominated in serving with seven aces each.
In the first set Abington pulled ahead and never looked back with a 25-17 win to kick off the match. Next the Nittany Lions battled with the Ravens in the second set. An 11-0 run for the Nittany Lions shifted momentum in their favor and led them to another 25-17 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Abington closed out the match with a dominate 25-14 win in the final set.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Keuka College for a NEAC crossover with Wells College up first on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
