Barr Leads Nittany Lions to 4-0 Win over Wells

ABINGTON, Pa. – Behind a career day from senior Allison Barr the Penn State Abington women's soccer team picked up a 4-0 win over Wells College on Saturday afternoon. After the win the Nittany Lions improve to 5-9 overall and 3-5 in the conference.

Taylor Perkowski kicked off the scoring in the first half with her team leading seventh goal of the season in the 32nd minute.  Abington continued to press the Express but couldn't convert on their chances.

In the second half only minutes into the action, Barr streaked down the right wing and placed a perfect cross right to Elizabeth Tracey that she finished for her fifth goal of the season. Abington continued to stay up on top of Wells and Natalie Hoot earned her first career assist that she headed to the far post for Barr to finish. In the 88th minute Barr completed her first career multi goal game taking advantage of a miscue by the goalkeeper and booming her shot from far out over the goalkeepers head just under the cross bar.

The Nittany Lions look to continue their momentum on the road when they travel to Keuka College next Weekend on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
