ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team picked up its first conference win of the season with a 1-0 shutout over Gallaudet on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions improve to 3-8 for the season and 1-4 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

The Nittany Lions dominated the possession firing 17 shots and forcing nine saves from the Bison's keeper. Defensively Abington held Gallaudet to only six shots for the entire game with only three on target.

Abington didn't break through until the second half when Taylor Perkowski curled in a beautiful shot to the far post for the game winning goal.

Abington will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Cazenovia on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
