MORRISVILLE, NY- The 2019 Penn State Abington women's volleyball team made school history by advancing to the NEAC Championship on Sunday afternoon. However, the Nittany Lions season came to an end after a 3-0 defeat to the three-time champions Morrisville State.
 
Despite 10 kills from the NEAC Rookie of the Year Katharine Costello (New Hope, PA), the Mustangs swept the Nittany Lions in three sets 25-13, 25-18, and 25-19. Senior Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) contributed 17 assists in today's game, concluding her collegiate career as Penn State Abington's All-Time Leader in Assists with a career total of 2,073.
 
Abington wraps up their season with a 18-16 overall record, under first year head Coach Roy Watson. Watson helped guide the Nittany Lions to their first NEAC Championship in school history.
