ABINGTON, P.A.- The Penn State Abington women's tennis team opened their spring season by hosting Delaware Valley University yesterday afternoon. This Nittany Lions were defeated by the Aggies 5-4, and fall to 1-4 on the season.
Del Val came out red hot during singles action by taking four of the six matches against the Nittany Lions. The two wins for Abington came from senior
Stephanie Jin (Bluebell, PA)in the No. 1 spot and junior
Deana Mariani (Seaford, NY) at No.6 who won by default. Jin successfully defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-1, and improved to 4-1 in singles action on the 2018-2019 season.
Abington took two big wins at doubles with wins from their underclassmen. The No.3 position was won by default with pair Jenny Young and Deanna Mariani. Freshman

Marta Tymchenko (Trevose, PA) defeated their opponents in a close 8-5 victory.
