WILKES-BARRE, PA- The Penn State Abington women's tennis team faced King's College on Sunday afternoon and were defeated by the Monarchs 7-2. Abington now drops to 2-6 on the season.

The Monarchs took wins at No.1 and No.3 doubles. Teammates Stephanie Jin (Bluebell, PA) and Isabella Blackwell (Philadelphia, PA) pulled out a win for the Nittany Lions at No. 2 doubles by defeating their opponents 8-3.

Abington struggled during singles competition by dropping 5 of the 6 matches. The lone win came at No. 5 singles from freshman Michelle Ly (Shirley, NY) who contributed a point for Abington after earning a 6-0 and 4-1 win.

Up next the Nittany Lions will host Eastern University this Wednesday April 3 for a 3:00pm match.
