ABINGTON, PA- The Penn State Abington men's tennis team hosted Ursinus College on Monday evening but fell to the Bears 7-2. The Nittany Lions now drop to 1-1 on the season.
Ursinus College played with a five man roster, giving Abington the early 2-0 lead by default. During doubles, Abington got shut out 8-0 at both the No.1 and No.2 flight. During singles, the Nittany Lions struggled for a win. Senior Michael Litz (Huntingdon Valley, PA) battled closley with his opponent at the top flight but fell short in a 6-4, 5-7, 5-10 decision.
Up next Abington will host McDaniel College this Sunday for a 1:00pm match.
