CAZENOVIA, NY- The Penn State Abington men's basketball team concluded their 2020 season on the road today at Cazenovia College. The Nittany Lions fell short to the Wildcats 86-71 and finish the season with a 12-13 overall record, 7-9 in conference.
Three Nittany Lions earned double digits today including junior
Pernell Ghee (Germantown, PA) who led Abington with 13 buckets. Behind him was freshman
Brian Randolph III (Chester, PA) who earned his season best with 12 points, and seven rebounds. Sophomore
Mohamed Mansaray (Philadelphia, PA) closed out the season with a 10 point performance.
In the first half, Abington was powerful pounding points in the paint, scoring 20 of their 37 first half points in the paint. Ghee and Randolph each contributed deep three balls, while Mohammed Mansaray drained two. At the half, the Nittany Lions only trailed 38-37.
Cazenovia took a 21-point lead over Abington in the second half, and was able to score 19 points off of turnovers from the Nittany Lions. Abington was able to cut down the lead, but it wasn't enough before the Wildcats escaped with the 86-71 victory.
