Nittany Lions Draw with Morrisville State on Senior Day

ABINGTON, PA. – On senior day the Penn State Abington women's soccer team faced off against Morrisville State, but the game finished in a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday afternoon. Abington finishes their season with a 7-7-2 record overall and 3-4-1 in the United East.

Prior to the game the program honored seniors Morgan O'Loughlin, Allyson Holtz, Erica Denshuick, Jamie Marino, Allison Barr, Mary Kate Smith and Kikelomomi Olayinka-Yusuf for their contributions throughout their career.

Through four periods, Abington outshot the Mustangs 22-15 and fired 10 shots on target. Between the sticks for the Nittany Lions Maria Tunney was a stonewall making eight saves including a crucial one-on-one stop with the Mustangs striker.

One of the best chances for the Nittany came from senior Mary Kate Smith. The senior midfielder cut in toward goal and fired her shot that went off the woodwork. Freshman forward Madison McDowell was active around the box firing nine shots with six on target, but the Nittany Lions couldn't break down the Mustangs.

Abington finishes the season just one spot outside the United East Tournament as they look to build off a productive season.
