WILLIAMSPORT, PA. – In their final games of the season the Penn State Abington women's volleyball team traveled to Penn College for a conference tri-match and came away with a series split on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions faced off against Penn College first and shut out the Wildcats 3-0, but later fell to the conference leaders Penn State Berks in a 3-1 defeat.  After today the Nittany Lions finish the year with an 11-16 record and 2-6 in the United East Conference.

Jenny McAnaney recorded 26 kills between both games in her final action with the Penn State Abington women's volleyball program. Defensively sophomore libero Gabby Shreve racked up 31 digs.
In the first game of the day Abington dominated the hosting Penn College Wildcats winning 25-12, 25-12, and 25-19 sweeping them in three sets.
In game two, Abington battled in the first set against United East leaders Penn State Berks but fell 25-21. Berks took the second set handily with a 25-13 victory. Down 2-0 with the match on the line Abington won a narrow 30-28 set to stay alive. In the fourth Abington tied Berks 21-21 but Berks took the match with a 4-1 run to end the set.
Abington finishes the season looking to build for next year.
