ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abington softball team hosted Penn State Berks but couldn't come away with a win on Tuesday afternoon. Abington struggled to get runs across the plate in game one falling 3-1, and suffered a 8-0 in the night cap.
Abington falls to 2-4 for the season and 2-2 in the conference.
In game one Abington pitcher Laura Vanhoeven had a solid outing on the mound going seven innings and only giving up two earned runs, but Abington couldn't get any runs on the board after four hits.
Again in game two, Abington was quiet at the plate only recording two hits with hits from
Mary Kate Smith and
Jenna Gorman.
Abington will be back at home on Thursday afternoon when they host Penn College at 3:00 p.m.
