LANCASTER, PA. – An underdog the entire season the Penn State Abington men's tennis team traveled to the top seed Lancaster Bible and gave them a scare, but couldn't finish the upset in a 6-3 loss on Tuesday afternoon.
In the top flight competition Andrian Condes Philip Belotserkovsk battled hard but fell to LBC 8-5. In the second doubles match
Dhruv Shahane and
Andrew Cavanaugh shut out their opponents to ty the match, but LBC took the third doubles match to hold a lead.
In the singles competition Condes took the first game of the top flight with a 6-2 win. LBC's Devon Clemmer didn't go down easy, handing Condes a 6-3 loss. In the clincher Condes rebounded with a decisive 10-3 win. At the second flight, Shahane cruised to an easy 6-0,6-0 win. Unfortunately the Nittany Lions couldn't earn another point.
After their win LBC will advance to the NEAC Championship while the Nittany Lions season comes to a close.
