How It Happened

* The Abington offense wasted no time finding the back of the next scoring two of its four first half goals within the first eight-plus minutes of action.  Sophomore Tony Colon was the first to score as he tallied his goal 75-seconds into the game with junior Arsene Bado assisting on the play.  A few minutes later senior Mike Thomas doubled the Abington lead with an unassisted goal in the ninth minute.

* The Nittany Lions, who pressured the Bryn Athyn defense all night with 31 total shots, scored another pair of goals in the opening half to lead 4-0 at halftime.  Bado scored in the 21st minute and sophomore Ryan Lawler came through with a score in the 35th minute.

* Leading 4-0 entering the second half, junior Eljo Agolli joined the goal scoring party with a score less than three minutes into the half to make it a 5-0 game.

* Bryn Athyn spoiled the Nittany Lions shutout bid with a goal moments later when Mike Carmody scored his first goal of the season in the 51st minute.

* The score remained 5-1 until the 87th minute when freshman Collin Meo capped the scoring with his first collegiate goal.

Inside the Numbers

* Each player that scored for the Nittany Lions it marked their first tally of the season with Lawler and Meo registering their first career goals.

* All three goalies saw action for Abington as senior Matt Sheldon started the game and finished with two saves.  Senior John Simpson also made a pair of saves, while sophomore Brendan Werner made one stop.
