How It Happened

* A corner kick opportunity led to the game's only goal in the 67th minute.   Sophomore Amerr Yagoub took the kick and placed it perfectly into the box as Bado headed the ball towards the inside right post for the score.

* Bado nearly got his second score of the game a minute after giving the Nittany Lions the lead but his shot was saved by Penn College's Cole Catherman.  Bado's shot on-goal turned out to be the team's final shot that was on-target for the game.

Inside the Box Score

* The Abington defense held the Wildcats to just six shots; three in each half, and only one shot on-goal.  It marked the second straight game the Nittany Lions limited an opponent to single digit shots.

* Senior goalkeeper Brendan Werner made one save in net as he went on to record his third shutout of the season.  Werner is now three saves shy of 100 for his career.

* Yagoub recorded his first career assist on Bado's goal.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 11th meeting between Abington and Penn College since the start of the 2014 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 9-0-2 versus the Wildcats in the all-time series.
