How It Happened

* Abington broke a 13-13 tie midway through the opening set after back-to-back kills from freshmen Ellie Van Otten and McKinley Grim.  However, the Chargers responded with a 7-1 run to regain the lead at 20-16.  After a kill by sophomore Zayna Jamaladdin made the score 20-17, Lancaster Bible scored five of the next six points to take the set, 25-18.

* The momentum carried over for the home team into the second set as the Chargers opened the set with a 12-2 run.  Lancaster Bible held a 19-10 lead later in the set and closed things out with a 6-0 run to take the set, 25-10.

* Having come back from two sets down twice already this season, the Nittany Lions made things interesting in the third set.  Trailing 8-4, Abington ripped off seven straight points to grab an 11-8 lead.  The Nittany Lions took advantage of four miscues by the Chargers during the run.  However, down the stretch the Chargers rallied and eventually regained the lead after a 4-0 run made the score 17-15. The Nittany Lions came within one point after two straight kills by junior Alyssa Flickinger and Van Otten made the score 19-18.  Lancaster Bible held off Abington by scoring the final six points of the set for the 25-18 win.
