Abington Falls to Gallaudet, 3-0

Washington, D.C. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest on the road against Gallaudet University by the score of 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Gallaudet Field House.

How It Happened
 
* The Gallaudet offense registered 49 kills in the three-set match, including a match-high 18 kills in the second set.  As a team, the Bison committed just seven errors on the attack to finish the match with a .424 attack percentage.  In turn, the Gallaudet defense held Abington to only 17 kills in the match.
 
* Gallaudet led majority of the match and held double-digit leads in all three sets. 
 
Inside the Box Score
 
*  Three players recorded four kills each for the Nittany Lions, including junior Kayla Mason, sophomore Ellie Van Otten and freshman Maya Giles.
 
* Junior Ryenn Mamrosch and sophomore Fabiola Medina each totaled a team-high 11 digs.  Mamrosch also had seven assists. 
 
* For Gallaudet, Jada Zarembka totaled a match-high 14 kills, while Brielle Worley added 11 kills and 10 digs.  Ella Gamble finished with a match-high 41 assists.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight marked the 16th meeting between Abington and Gallaudet since the start of the 2011 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 1-15 versus the Bison in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 as the Nittany Lions host Cedar Crest College in United East action.  Match time is set for 12 p.m. at the Abington Athletic Building.
