How It Happened

* Junior Laurence Narcisi scored the game's first goal to break a scoreless tie midway through the first half.  Narcisi's shot deflected off the left post and into the back of the net for the first of his two goals on the day. Sophomore Israel Gonzalez assisted on the play with a pass from the left side into the box to set up Narcisi.

* In the second half, junior Hugh Nungessor wasted zero time scoring his sixth goal of the season in the 48th minute of action.  Nungessor doubled the lead giving the Nittany Lions breathing room with nearly a full half still to play.

* Later in the half, Narcisi struck again with Gonzalez providing another helper on the play.  Gonzalez placed a free kick perfectly into the box allowing Narcisi to score and give the Nittany Lions a 3-0 lead.

* Abington put the game out of reach minutes later when sophomore Mohamed Konneh scored his sixth goal of the season.  Sophomore Frank Monaco, who already had an assist in the game from Nungessor's goal, launched a throw-in into the box with Konneh finishing the play with the goal.  Konneh's goal in the 66th minute made the score 4-0.

* Senior Brendan Werner preserved the shutout with his fourth and final save of the game in the 79th minute.  The Chargers managed four shots in the final seven minutes, but all four shots were off-target.

Inside the Box Score
