How It Happened

* Arcadia led 66-65 and had possession with less than a minute remaining in regulation.  After two missed shots by the Knights, Reid grabbed a key defensive rebound and ran the length of the court for a break-away basket to give the Nittany Lions a 67-66 lead with 12.2 seconds remaining on the clock.

* Arcadia called a timeout and advanced the ball. On the ensuing inbound, the Knights were baffled by the Abington defense and called another timeout with one second showing on the clock.  On the inbound pass, Hanna Rhoades got a three-pointer off at 0.6 seconds but her shot fell short as Abington held off for the one-point victory.

* The Nittany Lions trailed by seven points (66-59) at the 2:36 mark of the fourth quarter.  Sophomore Tarianda Washington scored a tip-in basket and then on the team's next possession senior Naila Newman knocked down a three-pointer to make the score 66-64 with 1:36 left.  Following a defensive stop, Reid was fouled and sent to the free throw line where she slit her attempts to bring the Nittany Lions to within one point at 66-65.

* The game featured 14 different lead changes and tied on nine different occasions. Abington led by as many as six points early in the third quarter after senior Nia Newman opened the frame with a layup to give the Nittany Lions a 38-32 lead.
