SAAC Supports Local Family Through Breathing Room

Abington, Pa. – Prior to finals week, the Penn State Abington Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with the Breathing Room foundation for the ninth straight year to help spread holiday cheer to a local family. SAAC organized a 'wrapping party' and wrapped holiday gifts for a local family through the efforts of The Breathing Room's Holiday Giving program.

With the support of the Penn State Abington community, SAAC organized the purchasing of holiday gifts for a local family that was in need of some extra holiday cheer.

"This is the ninth year we have partnered with The Breathing Room to host a family for Christmas," said SAAC President Isabella Antosiewicz. "SAAC was extremely proud of our athletes for all the gifts and Christmas spirit we were fortunate enough to give to our family! We hope they have an amazing Christmas! We want to thank The Breathing Room for continuing to work with us each year and cannot wait to host a new family next year!"

The Breathing Room Foundation provides individualized care and support to families affected by cancer by addressing their most critical needs so that they can concentrate their efforts on regaining their physical health.
