How It Happened

* Harrisburg opened the match with a sweep of doubles competitions. At first doubles, Wenxu Gu and Tripp Mangifesta battled tough against Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic but ultimately lost the match, 6-4.  Kristna Gurram and Anton Labas dropped their second doubles match to Andrew Schreck and Peng Hou by the same score.  Gurram and Anton were down 3-2 but won the next two points to take a 4-3 lead in the match.  However, Schreck and Peng won the next three points to win the match, 6-4.

* In singles play, Gu went the distance against Hou, who was listed as in Consideration for Singles Play in the first release of the men's tennis Regional Rankings.  Hou won the first set by the score of 6-2, but Gu bounced back and took the second set, 7-6.  Gu won the second set tiebreak, 7-4, after jumping out to a 5-1 lead.  In the third set tiebreak, Gu won the first three points, however Peng responded with four of the next five points in the set to tie the score at 4-4.  Gue went on to take a 7-6 lead but Peng finished the match winning the next four to take the tiebreak set, 10-7.

* Trivikram Chitturi also went the distance in his fifth singles match against Derwin Merca.  Chitturi won the first set, 6-3, but dropped the second set which resulted in a third set tiebreak.  Chitturi couldn't get over the hump as he trailed 7-6 and 8-7 before falling to Merca, 10-7.
