Abington Falls to Seahawks in United East Contest

St. Mary's City, Md. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest at St. Mary's College (Md.) by the score of 98-44 on Saturday afternoon at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena.

* Junior Amirah Hackney scored a team-high 18 points to go along with four rebounds and three steals.
 
* Seniors Naila Newman and Nia Newman each had seven points and six rebounds.
 
* Junior Amina Reid registered a pair of steals on defense to increase her career total to 229 to move into sole possession of second place among the program's all-time steal leaders. 
 
* Sophomore Tarianda Washington recorded a game-high nine rebounds.
 
* For St. Mary's, Olivia Liszt scored a game-high 30 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field, including 6-of-9 from deep range.  Tramarie Mobray added 16 points.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the seventh meeting between Abington and St. Mary's since the start of the 2021-22 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 4-3 against the Seahawks in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 13 as the Nittany Lions welcome Manor College to the Athletic Building for a non-conference match-up.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.
