How It Happened

* For the second time in two games, senior Nick Lachawiec scored the equalizing goal after Abington fell behind 1-0 early in the opening half.  Keystone's Aiden Cummings scored his seventh goal of the season in the fourth minute of action to give the Giants the 1-0 advantage.  The lead didn't last long as Lachawiec tallied his second goal in as many days off an assist by junior Amerr Yagoub in the sixth minute.

* The game didn't see another goal for the next 70 minutes of game action. It wasn't until the 76th minute that the 1-1 tie would be broken.  Yagoub came through with the go-ahead and eventual game-winning score with his second tally of the season.

* Less than a minute later, sophomore Aramis Shire gave the Nittany Lions some breathing room with his seventh goal of the season.  Yagoub figured in on the scoring with his second assist of the game.

Inside the Box Score

* Abington held a 13-1 advantage on corner kicks and outshot the Giants by a 24-7 margin.

* Yagoub finished with a career-high four points with a goal and two assists. With his two assists, Yagoub leads the United East with nine on the season.  He's now one shy of tying the single season program record of 10 set by Mike Thomas in 2023.

* Freshman Hector Oritz, the United East Defensive Player of the Week, made four saves in net for the Nittany Lions.

* Keystone's James Kallens tallied eight stops in net.
