How It Happened

* Abington wasted zero time finding the back of the net to take an early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute.  Freshman Riley Roesner connected on a shot inside the box for her third goal of the season with junior Kaitlyn Frank assisting on the play.

* The Salisbury offense fired off 10 shots, including four on-goal the first 20-plus minutes of the game.  Freshman goalkeeper Audrey Ormsby all four of her saves within that span.  However, the Seagulls finally got one by with Ava Wheeler coming through with a score in the 21st minute to tie the game at 1-1.

* Later in the half, the Nittany Lions capitalized off a free kick from about 20-yards out.  Freshman Jada Rawls-Irizarry took the kick and ended up scoring her fourth goal of the season.  Rawls-Irizarry's shot snuck by the left side past a leaping Riley Kinzeler who nearly got a hand on the shot.

* With less than :20 seconds remaining in the half, the Seagulls managed to find the equalizing goal to send the game into the half tied at 2-2.  Lillian Hutchings took a pass from the right side from Samantha Root and scored her first goal of the season.

* In the second half, the Seagulls grabbed their first lead of the game after Talyn Catena scored her fourth goal of the season in the 51st minute.  Salisbury doubled its lead late when Callie Chesney shot in a rebounded shot by Callie Chesney that was saved by senior Kayla Kulp.  Chesney's goal made the score 4-2 in the 89th minute.

* The Salisbury defense held the Abington offense without a shot in the second half.
