How It Happened

Junior Amerr Yagoub took the corner attempt and passed up top to junior Rael Halim who was running in from midfield.  Halim passed on contact into the box where Rafferty deflected it in for the score. The Nittany Lions doubled their lead minutes later when sophomore Da'Vid Robinson connected on his third goal of the season.

* The Nittany Lions held the Highlanders to just four total shots and only two on-goal in the first half on their way to a 2-0 halftime lead.

* In the second half, Rafferty struck early once again with his second goal of the game and his 13th of the season.  Yagoub set up the score with his second assist of the game off a corner kick attempt in the 58th minute.

* Leading 3-0 majority of the second half, Abington added its final goal of the game in the 70th minute when senior Hugh Nungessor connected on a successful penalty kick for his fifth goal of the season.
