How It Happened

* Abington struck first when Rafferty scored the first of his two goals on the day in the 18th minute.  A defensive blunder in the Abington offensive zone, led to a turnover as Rafferty was able to quickly turn and fire a shot into the back of the net to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 lead.

* Later in the first half, Berks tied the game at 1-1 after Terridine Grant scored his fifth goal of the season in the 37th minute.  Grant was in the right place at the right time when Callan Stuck launched a corner attempt into the box.  Grant was able to head the ball into the open face for the score.

* With halftime looming, Abington turned what looked like a tied game heading into the half, into a 2-1 lead.  After a controversial corner kick call, Abington took advantage playing a short corner from junior Rael Halim to sophomore Anthony Abreu.  Abreu found Konneh who in turn fired a shot past the Berks keeper for the first of his two scores.

* Abington wasted little time finding the back of the net in the second half.  Junior Amerr Yagoub scored his first goal of the season off a rebounded save from a shot by senior Hugh Nungessor.  In a sequence that saw Rafferty's shot saved by goalkeeper Josh Martin, to Nungessor who fired a shot off the rebound which in turn was saved by a defensive player which was then shot into the back of the net by Yagoub.

* Less than five minutes later, Yagoub helped Nungessor score his third goal in as many days feeding Nungessor with a cross pass from the left side of the field.  His goal gave Abington a 4-1 lead in the 51st minute.

* In the 63rd minute, Rafferty scored his second goal of the game to give the Nittany Lions a 5-1 lead after corralling a rebounded ball that hit off the post from a shot by Abreu.  It marked Rafferty's ninth goal of the season.

* Sophomore Liame Attis scored his second goal of the season in the 81st minute that increased the Abington lead to 6-1.  Attis pushed back a rebounded shot by freshman Quincy Wade into the back of the net after Martin made the save on Wade's shot.

* Abington's final goal of the game came in the 89th minute. Konneh went the distance of the field with a three-on-one breakaway.  He beat the goalie to register his second goal of the game.
