* Abington scored its first two runs of the season in the bottom of the third to make it a 7-2 game.  Junior Isabella Antosiewicz doubled to center field to drive in fellow junior Marlena Hacker who reached on a dropped flyball by the right fielder.  Antosiewicz later scored on a sacrifice fly by junior Lainey Scotese.

How It Happened (vs. New Jersey City)

* Abington trailed 4-2 entering the sixth inning and went on to plate two runs in the frame to tie the game at 4-4.  A one-out triple by Colagreco followed by a base hit from sophomore Riley Logan pushed across the first run.  Two batters later, junior Rylee Albany delivered a double to right field as Logan scored the game-tying run.

* In the bottom of the inning, the Gothic Knights threatened with runners on second and third with just one out.  However, freshman Sydney Schrager retired the next two batters with fly outs to get out of the jam and preserve the tie.

* After a scoreless seventh inning, the game went into extra-innings.  Logan started the inning at second as per the international tie-break rule and scored when Albany connected on another run scoring double; this time with two outs in the inning.  Senior Emily Foxhill followed with a base hit to drive in Albany to give Abington a 6-4 lead.

* The Gothic Knights made things interesting in the bottom of the eighth.  Jaeda Figueroa drove in a run to make it a one run game at 6-5 with two outs in the inning.  However, Schrager struck out the very next batter to close out the game and register her first collegiate victory.
