How It Happened

* Abington scored in all but one inning as the Nittany Lions slowly built a double-digit lead as the game progressed.  Freshman Zach Bauers drove in the team's first run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.  The Nittany Lions doubled their lead in the second when sophomores John Marcucci and Aqual Chapman recorded back-to-back doubles to make it a 2-0 game.

* In the third, Bauers added two more RBI on his game total with a two-run double that score Busco and junior Akira Nakamura.  Bauers later scored on a fielding error by Brandywine to increase the Abington lead to 5-0.

* Abington tallied another three runs in the fourth with Bauers recording his fourth RBI of the game with a base hit to left field. Nakamura and junior Andrew Holt also drove in runs in the inning.

* After a scoreless fifth, Abington added to its total after junior Donato Incollingo hit a solo home run over the center field fence.  Incollingo's fourth home run of the season gave the Nittany Lions a 9-0 advantage.

* Abington capped its scoring in the seventh with its biggest inning of the game.  The Nittany Lions pushed five runners across to score in the frame, highlighted by freshman Zach Salsbery's pinch-hit two-run home run marking his first career long ball.
