How It Happened (Game 1)

* Abington scored the game's first run in the second inning after taking advantage of a throwing error by the Gallaudet pitcher.  Freshman Tori Colagreco, who doubled earlier in the inning, scored on the miscue.

* The Nittany Lions doubled their lead in the third when freshman Candice Peck delivered a run scoring hit to left-center field.  Junior Marlena Hacker scored on the play after reaching base on a fielding error.

* Gallaudet got on the board in the fourth and made it a 2-1 game after Sophia Wascher pushed across a run on a fielder's choice.

* In the fifth, junior Isabella Antosiewicz led the inning off with a single up the middle and later scored on a base hit by Colagreco.  Antosiewicz's run increased the Abington lead to 3-1.

* In the seventh, the Abington offense added some insurance runs to push its lead to 6-1 by inning's end.  Colagreco recorded her third hit of the game and drove in Antosiewicz for her second RBI on the day.  Later in the inning, sophomore Riley Logan connected on a double to right-center that scored a pair to give Abington a five-run cushion.

* Junior Paula Casale pitched a scoreless seventh to secure the win as she went the distance for the Nittany Lions.  It marked Casale's second win of the season as she finished the game with four strikeouts.
